I submit the high value placed on speed is not so "new". About the same time you were playing LAX at Hofstra, College Football coaches were realizing "speed kills".....and changed the game of college football forever by selecting those with speed over those who could just play football, albeit at a slower speed. The emphasis (over-emphasis??) of speed in sports and business began decades ago. The “New” Game of Speed??? I submit the high value placed on speed is not so “new”.
